A central part of the programme at the Cité internationale des arts, a place where artists from all over the world, from all disciplines and all generations, live, work, and research, the open studios are a weekly event where the public is invited to discover the work in progress of the artists in residence!

On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, the Cité internationale des arts invites Master’s students at Sciences Po Saint-Germain-en-Laye to propose a series of three thematic itineraries during a ‘curated by’ event.

At the Cité...

Nearly 2,000 of you came to discover the Open Studios | Les Rencontres de Montmartre event, organised by the Cité internationale des arts in collaboration with Art Explora and the Académie des beaux-arts: thank you!

On February 14 and 15, you turned out in force for these two days, bringing together some thirty artists from a wide range of backgrounds, in residence as part of the ‘2-12’, ‘Art Explora x Cité internationale des arts’, and ‘Académie des beaux-arts x Cité internationale des arts’ programmes.⁠

See you at the next summer edition on June 19, 20, and 21, 2026!

In residence

American artist Teneille Prosper is in residence in partnership with the City of Paris, as well as the Joan Mitchell Foundation and the Joan Mitchell Centre.

Born in 1977 in New Orleans, Teneille Prosper has developed a practice that explores issues of cultural identity, historical trauma, and the struggle for social justice through various media, including acrylic painting.⁠
