For this latest edition of the open days at its Montmartre site, the Cité internationale des arts invites you to discover the creative processes and work in progress of the artists in residence.

Open Studios | Les Rencontres de Montmartre features tours, concerts, discussions, readings, workshops, screenings and performances in this unique venue. This event brings together some twenty artists from diverse backgrounds and with varied practices, in residence thanks to the ‘2-12’, ‘Art Explora x Cité internationale des arts’ and ‘Académie des beaux-arts x Cité internationale des arts’ programmes.

As part of Nuit Blanche 2026, the Cité internationale des arts will remain open until midnight and will offer a guided tour of the exhibition Freeing the Voices led by co-curator Zdenka Badovinac, a performance by Tilhen Klapper and an installation by Nobuko Tsuchiya.

Nobuko Tsuchiya’s works arise from fundamental questions about the world and our place within it: why are we here? Is there an order to the universe, and do we have any control over it? Faced with the need to know, scientists experiment, while philosophers imagine. Nobuko’s strange assemblages of materials and found objects draw on both.

Firi Anoihi

On 26 May, at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris, Bénédicte Alliot, Director General of the Cité, and Samantha Bonet-Tirao, Minister of Education, Higher Education and Culture of French Polynesia, signed the renewal of the Firi Anoihi residency programme for three further editions.
Launched in 2021, the programme offers five Polynesian artists each year a three-month creative residency in Paris, at the world’s largest artistic residency centre.
