Programme for Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava post-diploma and graduate artists
Programme
The programme is intended for doctoral students and graduates of the AFAD of various specializations – fine and applied arts, architecture, design or restoration, as well as theoretical disciplines.
The aim of this residency programme is to support and encourage the professional integration of emerging artists, enabling them to focus on their practice all the while building up their professional network. The programme is rooted in the life, activities and networks of the Cité internationale des arts and its 325 residents from all disciplines, generations, and nationalities. It also offers support through regular meetings with artists and cultural professionals.

The Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava is an autonomous public institution performing creative, artistic, educational, scientific, research, development and cultural activities. Educational activities are based on contemporary art, scientific knowledge and technical background for a wide range of the artistic activities.
The educational activities of AFAD are in close connection with the artistic creation and reasearch activities of the AFAD pedagogues, research employees and students, who are in everyday touch with recent developments in this area. AFAD contributes significantly to development of art, artistic and technological research, art literacy and culture.
