CALQ x Cité internationale des arts

Programme for Quebec and Aboriginal artists

Programme

As part of its long-standing partnership with the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ), the Cité internationale des arts in Paris is offering three residency formats for artists from Quebec.

This programme is part of a fruitful collaboration that has already welcomed over a hundred Quebec artists in residence, strengthening the cultural ties between France and Quebec.

This programme is in keeping with the CALQ and Cité internationale des arts’ mission to support the mobility, research, and visibility of Quebec creators on the international art scene. With a view to equitable and sustainable artistic development, CALQ supports creation, experimentation and production in the arts and literature in every region of Quebec, and promotes their dissemination in Quebec, Canada and abroad.

Each year, CALQ provides financial support to some 1,500 artists and 900 non-profit arts organizations, contributing to the expression of a vibrant and accessible culture throughout Quebec. The CALQ promotes artistic and literary milestones that inspire pride in our citizens, nourish our culture and, above all, permeate it beyond time.
