The Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media x Cité internationale des arts programme gives 6 artists in the fields of the visual arts, architecture and music (composers and performers) the opportunity to take up residencies each year. The selected artists spend 6 months in the unique environment of the Cité internationale des arts, a community of over 300 artists in the heart of Paris.

The Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media is responsible for federal government policy on culture and the media in Germany. They organise support for cultural and memorial institutions and projects of national importance and also work to improve the legal framework and represent the interests of German cultural and media professionals at an international level.
