Programme for curators based in Portugal

Programme

The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Cité internationale des arts have co-constructed an annual residency programme for curators of all nationalities residing in Portugal. Initiated in 2023, the aim of this programme is to facilitate mobilitý and support research and the expansion of the professional network of curators on the Portuguese art scene.

During their three-month residency, the laureates benefit from coaching, professional networking and financial support.

  • Have been developing at least five years of curating experience

Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation-French Delegation

The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation was established in Lisbon in 1956 by the will of Calouste Sarkis Gulbenkian as a foundation for all mankind, dedicated to promoting knowledge and improving the quality of human life through the arts, charity, science and education.

The Gulbenkian Foundation’s Delegation in France supports projects in the visual arts, notably through its exhibition assistance scheme for art institutions in France, the organization of the Social Practice arts prize, the co-production of various exhibitions, a residency support program, the organization of meetings and debates throughout the year, partnerships with civil society organizations, and the provision of an extensive Portuguese-language library.
