In Situ
Program for artists of all disciplines based in the European Union
Programme
In situ is a multidisciplinary residency programmme which aims to be both a time and a space for encounters, collective work and individual research, at the very heart of the Cité internationale des arts residency center, but also an area for the production of knowledge and thematic work around the conditions of existence.
It brings together ten artists from the fields of visual arts and performance, music and sound research, performing arts, design, writing, architecture and urbanism, curating and art criticism, for a period of six months, in Paris on the Marais site of the Cité internationale des arts, around a collective and individual dynamic, and a line of work proposed by a guest researcher. The programme focuses on an individual and collective approach to ecological conditions of existence which take into account the reality of a changing world and invent, explore, and experiment with possible modes of action.
During the six months of the residency, the programme will be punctuated by various formats, including collective work sessions designed by the programme’s guest, as well as work sessions focused on the accompaniment of individual practice.

The partner of this programme :
Created in 2010, as a tribute to Daniel Carasso, founder of Danone, and his wife Nina, the Fondation Daniel and Nina Carasso acts in France and Spain. It reveals, supports, accompanies and connects women and men who dare to look at and build the world differently in the fields of Sustainable Food and Citizen Art. The Fondation Daniel and Nina Carasso is a family foundation, under the aegis of the Fondation de France. It is independent of any commercial company.
By placing Citizen Art and Sustainable Food at the heart of its actions, it wishes to contribute to a fairer world for today and tomorrow. It is by allowing the emergence of free minds that question, venture, cross and give life to ideas, and by facilitating the success of their projects, that it will be possible to accelerate this transformation.
More specifically, the Foundation’s Citizen Art axis develops its programs to meet the needs: art education and mediation actors, who open the horizons of our knowledge and practices, as well as the pathways that connect us to others; artists and researchers, who invest in cooperative ventures and make art a partner in research to invent new models and imagine tomorrow; artists who engage in projects of general interest and carry out initiatives as citizens to enlighten, contribute and mobilize in the face of societal challenges.
