Résidence d’été – ESADHaR x Cité internationale des arts

Programme for ESADHaR graduates

Programme

The ESADHaR and the Cité internationale des arts, in collaboration with the Galerie Duchamp d’Yvetot (art center of national interest) and the Palais de Tokyo, have joined forces to structure the summer residency programme designed to support and encourage the professional integration of emerging creators. The aim of the programme is to support and encourage the professional integration of the graduates of the ESADHaR, enabling them to devote themselves entirely to their artistic practice and to building up their professional network, before exhibiting their work in an art center.

In addition, in partnership with ésam Caen/Cherbourg, ENSA Normandie and Normandie Université’s doctoral school 558 HMPL, ESADHaR offers RADIAN, a doctorate in research and artistic creation.

Galerie Duchamp

Founded in 1991, Galerie Duchamp, a contemporary art center of national interest, organizes four to five exhibitions a year, as well as artist residencies. Since its opening, it has also developed a significant publishing activity.

Its primary mission is to support experimentation and contemporary research in the plastic arts. Within its walls, it welcomes visitors (around 5,000 a year) and organizes activities for the public, aimed at enhancing understanding of today’s artistic creation. For the past 25 years, it has been coordinating a program of artists’ residencies in schools (primary and secondary schools in Yvetot and the surrounding area), which today form part of an artistic and cultural education program called Iconocube. Galerie Duchamp, Yvetot’s contemporary art center, receives financial support from the Ministry of Culture, DRAC Normandie, Région Normandie and Département de la Seine Maritime.

Palais de Tokyo

The Palais de Tokyo, which in 2012 became Europe’s largest contemporary art center following the renovation of its entire space, invites visitors to explore emerging art and meet the creators of our time, in the very place where some of the greatest artists of the last century were exhibited.

Maison des arts Agnès-Varda

The Maison des arts Agnès-Varda is a municipal contemporary art center housed in a 17th-century barn, moved stone by stone from the village to the town center in the early 1980s. The Maison des arts Agnès-Varda is a production and distribution center for contemporary art. With 3 exhibitions a year, the Maison des arts Agnès-Varda presents both young and established artists who explore different artistic territories. Solo, duo and group exhibitions are designed to showcase the diversity of current plastic practices and aesthetic issues.
