The programme
The residency programme Association of Fine Arts of Montenegro x Cité internationale des arts supports 1 to 3 artists each year for residencies at the Cité ranging from 2 to 6 months. It is open to artists who are members of the Fine Arts Association of Montenegro, but also to artists who are not members of the association and whose work is not in the field of visual arts.

The Association of Fine Artists of Montenegro (AFAM) was officially founded in 1946. As a professional organisation with over 400 members and part of the International Association of Art (IAA), AFAM has played a crucial role in structuring and promoting the Montenegrin art scene internationally. It collaborates with international partners, NGOs and the Montenegrin Ministry of Culture, supporting artistic initiatives and cultural policies.
