The programme

The Ingrid Lindbäck Langaard Foundation x Cité internationale des arts programme offers Norwegian artists the opportunity to take up residencies at the Cité for a period of 3 to 6 months or more. Each year, between 8 and 12 artists are selected to work in the visual arts (painting, sculpture, installation, film, video, etc.).

Ingrid Lindbäck Langaard Foundation

Ingrid Lindbäck Langaard (1897-1982) was a Norwegian businesswoman and a major collector of Norwegian art, particularly works by Edwards Munch. In 1963, she set up the Ingrid Lindbäck Langaard Foundation, which received almost all of her fortune on her death. True to her wishes, the Foundation supports Norwegian visual artists. To date, almost 1,000 artists have benefited from major grants.
