The Finnish Cité internationale des arts Foundation was created in accordance with the wishes of Eero Snellman, the Finnish artist who initiated the Cité project alongside Félix Brunau back in 1937. Its mission is to encourage the mobility of Finnish artists and cultural exchanges between France and Finland by enabling them to take up residencies at the Cité internationale des arts. Since 1965, it has enabled more than 1,000 Finnish artists to come and live and work in the heart of Paris, in contact with artists of different nationalities.
