On May 27, from 6 to 9 pm, 17 artists from the Institut français x Cité internationale des arts residency programme will open the doors to their studios at the Marais site of the Cité internationale des arts in Paris. For this fourth edition, the Institut français and the Cité internationale des arts have invited independent curator Alexia Pierre to propose an evening programme.

Our bodies, our very beings, are traversed, shaped even, by constant vibration. On what frequency, then, do we tune in to one another? Open studios, performances, participatory actions, invitations to play as shared refusals, forms fusing bodies and spaces, histories resurfacing from oblivion; a multiplicity of gestures, of voices, harness the essence of what constitutes an assembly. The practices of 17 artists from the Institut français x Cité internationale des arts residency programme emerge in dialogue, enter into sympathetic resonance, for an evening.
