The Art of Living in Danger

As part of the exhibition Freeing the Voices, the Cité internationale des arts, in collaboration with the Simone de Beauvoir Audiovisual Centre, is organising a screening of the film The Art of Living in Danger, followed by a discussion with its director, Mina Keshavarz.

The Art of Living in Danger is a film in which Mina Keshavarz lifts the veil on a long-buried family secret: the death of her grandmother Nurijan, a victim of domestic violence in Iran. Through a deeply moving inner monologue, the director reconnects with a woman she never knew and reveals how, from generation to generation, women face the same fate. A gesture of remembrance, resistance and hope.

Following the screening, the director will discuss her artistic approach and the personal commitment underpinning this film with the audience.
