Presentation
AICA International and the Cité internationale des arts have jointly developed a research residency programme aimed at art critics working and living abroad. The aim of this programme is to encourage and facilitate their mobility by supporting research projects on art criticism that can draw on the working environment provided by the Cité internationale des arts, the INHA and the AICA archives at the Archives de la Critique d’Art in Rennes. This programme also provides an opportunity to foster encounters with the French art, critical and curatorial scenes, which may enrich the research projects of the laureates.
The partners are committed to supporting the selected residents by providing tailored guidance in relation to their research interests, as well as facilitating access to professional networks.
The laureates will benefit from:
- Access to professional networking and public programme opportunities;
- A live-in studio on the Marais site of the Cité internationale des arts;
- A monthly stipend of €1,000;
- Coverage of come and go international travel costs, within €1,000.
