Presentation
As part of its actions to support the arts sector and the professionalization of its actors, to support the creation and exhibition of works of art, the development of live performances, and the training of Polynesian artists, the Ministry of Culture of French Polynesia has joined forces with the Cité internationale des arts for a residency programme: Firi anoihi.
Intended for artists from French Polynesia and conceived with the help of the High Commission of the Republic in French Polynesia and the Air Tahiti Nui company, this programme offers four residencies at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris.
All the information and practical questions are to be read below (please consult these elements before submitting your application).
The residency
Through this call, 5 artists will be selected to receive a three-month residency between September 3 and November 27, 2026.
Each winning artist will benefit from:
- An artistic and professional accompaniment by the Cité internationale des arts ;
- a round-trip air ticket to Paris, paid for by Air Tahiti Nui;
- a living and production grant of 190 931 F CFP (1 600 €) per month;
- a live-in-studio on the Marais site of the Cité internationale des arts.
With a surface area ranging from 20 m² to 40 m², the Cité internationale des arts’ live-in-studios are designed to combine production and daily life. They consist of a large workroom, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a sleeping area.
It is possible for the winning artists to be accompanied, at their own expense, by an adult and/or to bring their child under the age of 7.
Unfortunately, the proposed studio apartments do not meet current accessibility standards for people with disabilities, and we are working on this for the future.
For any request concerning the accessibility of the spaces of the Cité internationale des arts, we are at your disposal.
