Artists in residence
Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Ena Sendijarević

Cinema
Writer, director and producer Ena Sendijarević was born in Odžak, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
She studied Film Theory at the University of Amsterdam and the Free University of Berlin before graduating from the Dutch Film Academy in 2014. Her first short film after graduation, IMPORT, was selected for Cannes’ Directors Fortnight and was the official Dutch entry for Live Action Short Film at the 2017 Academy Awards. Ena’s debut feature film TAKE ME SOMEWHERE NICE was selected for the 72th Cannes Film Festival’s Acid section and was awarded the Special Jury award at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Her second feature film SWEET DREAMS premiered in the main competition of the Locarno Film festival 2023, where it won the Pardo for best performance. Ena co-founded the director-driven production company Aventura in the Netherlands.
