Artists in residence

Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Curating

Virág Szentkirályi is a curator and cultural producer with over a decade of experience at the intersection of contemporary art, institutional collaboration, and artistic development. She sees her role as an ‘art-enabler’: someone who facilitates the development of artistic work and brings it into public conversation through exhibitions, publications, and interdisciplinary programs. Amongst others, she worked for eight years at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam, coordinating artistic programming and collaborating closely with international artists and advisors. Her practice is grounded in long-term engagement, collaboration, and care – approaching curating as a responsive process that creates frameworks, both conceptual and infrastructural, for artistic practices to unfold, resonate, and be challenged in meaningful ways.
