Artists in residence

Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Born in Tunis in 1982, Ali Tnani is a visual artist and an Institut Supérieur des Beaux-Arts de Tunis graduate. His multidisciplinary practice explores themes of “trace, space, and data” through mediums such as photography, drawing, sound installations, and documentary film.
 

Tnani has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Tunisia and internationally, including Ce vide, Voilà ma réponse (2022) at the B7L9 Art Station – Kamel Lazaar Foundation, Tunis; Hirafen (2023) at Ateliers du Tapis & du Tissage, Tunis; The Upshot of Trans-Affective Solidarity (2022) at TAM Torrance Art Museum, Los Angeles, and Motorenhalle Centre for Contemporary Art, Dresden (2021); Climbing Through The Tide (2019) at KLF B7L9 Art Station, Tunis; A New Humanity (2018) at the Dakar Biennale, Senegal; and Unknown Program (2018) at Elmarsa Gallery, Dubai

Sofie Tobiášová

Sofie Tobiášová (1996, Prague) is a Czech painter whose practice interweaves everyday experiences with theoretical and literary influences.
She studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Her solo and duo exhibitions include UNA Galleria (Italy), Hunt Kastner (Prague) or Cabanon Paris (Paris).
Her work has also been presented in numerous group exhibitions, including at CCA Cursor (CZ), Boccanera Gallery (IT), Galleri CC (SE) among others. She lives and works in Collesino, Lunigiana, Italy, where since 2025 she co-runs and co-curate an artist-run space called Easter.
