Artists in residence

Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Music

Diana Syrse is a composer and singer from Mexico. Her music is characterized by a mixture of sounds that shape an energy that on occasions is inspired by a musical dramaturgy of a text or a concept. She is particularly drawn by current issues of social relevance as well as musical chronicles of her daily life.

As a musician she also enjoys combining acoustic instruments with electronics and sometimes she uses her own voice to produce surreal urban soundscapes. On several occasions, her music is performed by herself in collaboration with other ensembles, choirs, and orchestras such as Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Staatsoper Hamburg, la Chambre aux échos, the Babylon Orchestra and the Trio D´Argent.
