Artists in residence
Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Born in New Taipei (Taiwan), Yu-Wen Wang is a multidisciplinary artist working between Taipei and Paris. Her practice follows in the footsteps of historical narratives and diasporic memories, traversed by the (post)colonial legacies that shape Taiwan. In these places of fault lines, she collects personal and collective stories that wander along the margins, questioning the border, the state line and the place of memory. Through installations, films, sound creations and performances, she shapes landscapes inhabited by fractures, which themselves become living archives. A graduate of ENSAPC (2022), she has presented her work at AWARE (Paris), Ygrec–ENSAPC (Aubervilliers) and the Greater Taipei Biennial of Contemporary Arts (New Taipei), among others.

Cinema
Zhiqian Wang was born in 1999, China. She lives and works in New York City.
Her works range from interventions, analog film to work on paper or silk. She constructs experimental systems that test the boundaries of meanings through material process, concept, and interaction. Her research interests include the philosophy of science, language, and metaphysics.
Zhiqian Wang’s work has been presented in numerous institutions including The Jewish Museum, USA (2023), Contemporary Arts Center, USA (2023), and performs at MoMA PS1, USA (2023), Performa Biennial, USA (2023), Art, Culture, and Technology at MIT, USA (2018).
