Artists in residence

Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Architecture and design

Qin Zhang is an academic specializing in architecture, urban planning and heritage conservation.

Since 2022, she has been an Associate at the Department of Art and Architecture History at Harvard CAMLab, and since 2021 an Associate-in-Research at the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies at Harvard University.

She has been engaged since 2006 within the Shanghai RYS Heritage Foundation, of which she was co-founder and general secretary until 2018, then permanent vice-president from 2019.

In 2025, she was appointed honorary professor at the School of Architecture of the China Academy of Art and associate professor at Tongji University. Since 2024, she has also been an advisor to the Swiss Applied Mathematical Society.

His distinctions include the INTO Excellence Award (2019), the 2nd ISOCARP Prize for Excellence (2008) and an honorable mention at the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards (2005).
