Artists in residence
Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Curating
Professor in the Department of Art History and Theory at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, he specializes in Western art history, spanning the Renaissance, modern and contemporary art, and Chinese art criticism. His published research covers the British Arts and Crafts Movement and American Abstract Expressionism; his recent work focuses on twentieth-century French art. Currently an artist-in-residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, he conducts field research on Parisian modernism from the Fin de Siècle through the interwar years to the post-war era, blending on-site and documentary research. His residency aims to deepen research on French art, enrich his teaching, and create paintings inspired by Paris, while fostering Sino-French academic exchange.
