Artists in residence
Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Dance
Born in Seville in 1994, Paula Comitre joined the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía in 2013 until 2016. In 2017, she begins her solo career making her debut at Tablao Flamenco Los Gallos and the same year she joins David Coria’s company and Rafaela Carrasco’s company, as a solo dancer and choreographer. In February 2020, she presented her first solo show, Cámara abierta, at the XXIV edition of the Festival of Jerez, where she won the Revelation Award. That same year, she participated in the show ¡Fandango! by David Coria & David Lagos, as an assistant rehearsal director and dancer. This show was co-produced by the Théâtre national de Chaillot in Paris.
In September 2020, she presented Electroflamenco de Artomático at the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla and received the Giraldillo Revelation Award of this festival. In February 2022, she unveils her second show, Alegorías (El límite y sus mapas), created in collaboration with the contemporary dancer Lorena Nogal, at the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris, counting on the co-production of the latter.
