Artists in residence
Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Daniel de la Barra is a Peruvian-Spanish artist who explores the infinite potential of fiction and political imagination as regenerative forces for dismantling power structures that have been repeated throughout history. He has recently exhibited his work in various institutions or galleries such as Delfina Foundation, Frieze London; La Casa Encendida, Fondazione Sandretto, Casa de Velázquez, Arco Madrid; La Maison de l’Amérique Latine in Paris; Royal Academy of Spain in Rome; Arts Santa Mònica, Joan Prats Gallery ; Livia Benavides Gallery, Central Museum of Lima; Material (CDMX) or Galería Patricia Ready in Chile.
Among his grants and awards are the Generation24 at La Casa Encendida; Delfina Foundation Grant, Matadero Madrid; VEGAP Video Art Award; Fundació Miró Mallorca Grant; Royal Academy of Spain in Rome; the Barcelona Crea Award; the Collezione Taurisano Art Nou Prize; etc.
