Artists in residence
Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.
Delphine Gatinois

Delphine Gatinois, born in Reims in 1985, is interested in the age-old balances disrupted by modernity, whether in the world of commerce or in the agricultural sector from which she hails. She undertakes projects based on personal experiences, rooted in France and extending internationally. “She explores notions of heritage, customs, transmission and exchange. Drawing on a systemic perspective centred on economic power dynamics, she sheds light on the frameworks within which society and individuals negotiate, evolve and adapt.” – Bénédicte Chevallier, Director of Mécènes du Sud
From 2022 to 2025, she is leading Passer l’hiver, a multifaceted research project centred on an Alsatian tradition linked to fire, seasonal cycles and young people living in the Thann valley. Since 2022, she has been developing Kèmè-Kèmè, presented at the Faraway festival and at Art-O-Rama in 2023, at the invitation of Mécènes du Sud. In 2025, she will continue this work during her research residency at 3BisF – Centre d’Arts Contemporains.
