Artists in residence

Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Bidossessi Nathalie Hounvo Yekpe is an actress, director and author. She holds a professional degree in theater techniques obtained at the International School of Theater of Benin (EITB). She has worked as an actress with directors such as Dine Alougbine (Benin), Tola Koukoui (Benin), Emmanuel Daumas (France), Nina De La Chevallerie (Germany), Marielle Pinsard (Switzerland) and Abdeli Djamel (Algeria).

She has participated in many festivals such as Les nuits de fourvière (Lyon), Made in Germany (Stuttgart), MASA (Abidjan) and FITHEB (Benin). In 2014, she co-wrote with Michel Beretti the play Trop de diables sous leurs jupes.

She signs the staging of the plays Certifié Sincère by Florent Couao-Zotti in 2010, L’oeuf et la poule by Catherine Verlaguet in 2017, Au paradis, les femmes ne pètent pas by Michel Beretti in 2018 and Nous étions assis sur le rivage du monde by José Pliya in 2022.

In June 2021, she was in residency at the Maison des auteurs-trices des Francophonies – Des écritures à la scène in Limoges.
