Artists in residence
Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Gayatri Kodikal has a non-disciplinary practice creating ludic propositions – analogue and digital, experimental film, installations and performance.
Engaging with the personal and political, her research explores speculative strategies for the modulating body in response to social and technological power structures. Thinking with the mangrove forest as a landscape for artistic imagination, metaphor, and critical engagement becomes a counter archive and a key site of collective study at the intersection of the ecological and social.
