Artists in residence
Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Shivay La Multiple

In their practice, Shivay La Multiple teaches reason the language of dreams. By means of multiple mediums, they create lines of escape towards new worlds, multiverses, pluriverses. In the manner of the Moebius ribbon, their research moves from the global to the visceral, from the macro to the micro, from the dream to the reality, from the physical to the digital. They are inspired by the concept of the poetics of relationship while remaining influenced by the multiple places they have crossed.
Their research is focused on the development of an initiatory tale in form and volume that begins in the Maroni River, then slides along the Congo River, sinks into the waters of the Senegal River and the Casaance River and is carried away by the waves of the Nile. Thus, these multiple crossings that wind through space and time, dream and reality, physical and digital, all lead to the woody fruits: the CALEBASSE.
