Presentation
In order to promote the mobility of French performing artists, ADAGP and Cité internationale des arts are joining forces to launch the fifth edition of a support programme enabling two artists based outside the Île-de-France region to benefit from a three-month research residency and professional support from Cité internationale des arts.
Although public, associative, and private initiatives have been working since the second half of the 20th century to redress the cultural disparities caused by an overly centralised geography, Paris remains a privileged place for encounters and opportunities. In order to meet the specific needs of artists wishing to draw on the Parisian context and network to further their artistic projects and professional careers, this residency will be supported by the Cité internationale des arts team.
At the end of this call for applications, two winners will be selected. One of the two residencies will be awarded to an emerging photographer (i.e. maximum of 5 years of professional activity) whose project addresses the theme of ecological issues.
All the information and practical questions are provided below (please consult these elements before submitting your application).

Various questions
How to Apply ?
Each candidate may submit an application in French via THIS LINK on the ADAGP website.
The application file includes the following elements
• 1 curriculum vitae (4 pages maximum).
• 1 artistic file including about ten visuals of past works with complete captions (between 5 and 10 pages maximum), if necessary with video links, audio files representative of your work (mp3, avi)
• 1 cover letter including :
– A description of why your work justifies the need for this residency from both an artistic and professional networking point of view;
– The residency project you would like to carry out at the Cité internationale des arts;

Residency Conditions
The laureates will be hosted in live-in studios on the Marais site of the Cité internationale des arts. Ranging from 25 to 40m², the studios combine research-creation and daily life, and include a work space, kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area. Each studio can accommodate up to two adults and one child under 10. Additional fees apply for companions and visitors.
Group applications must be submitted as follows, depending on the circumstances: applications accepted for group projects involving more than two artists remain exceptional, given the limited number of suitable studio-flats. The grant will be shared between the project collaborators.
