Artists in residence

Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Meagan Streader

Visual arts

Meagan Streader works with light in sculpture and installation. Her works reorient perceptions of architecture and scale, revealing how light governs physical and social navigations of fabricated spaces. Grounded in phenomenology, her practice examines the emotional and social resonance of architecture and design, exploring how light, history and time converge to shape memory and embodied experiences.

Meagan has exhibited at National Gallery of Victoria (2023), Carriageworks (2023), Dark Mofo (2019) and Amsterdam Light Festival (2015). She has delivered major public commissions and undertaken residencies in New York City (2016) and Paris (2026). In 2025 she was a recipient of a ISSI & George Alexander Foundation Fellowship (2025) and the AGNSW Eva Breuer Travelling Art Scholarship (2026).
