Artists in residence

Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Her work is based on different mediums: drawing, public intervention, action, video installation, organization of actions, research projects and curating. Paula Valero is interested in how art can contribute to the collective imagination and make a contribution to the transformation of situations and realities. Her work, in all its forms, seeks to propose a radical communication within a space of shared encounter, and creates poetic and political disruptions and interferences in different areas of public or everyday activity.
