Artists in residence
Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Laure Winants

Laure Winants is a research-based artist from Brussels. Through interdisciplinary and experimental projects, she develops her work as a political place to explore and experiment with elements, light, and space.
Laure Winants invites the viewer into a new sensory space. Her current projects cross the boundaries of science and art and draw upon collaborative works with climate scientists, geographers, and speculative philosophers. She was recently an Artist-in-Residence in a 2800-meter height Atmospheric Observatory, working directly in the field alongside climate scientists from the French National Centre for Scientific Research, CNRS.
