Artists in residence
Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Reda Boussella

Réda Boussella (b. 1994, Pau, France; lives and works in Aubervilliers, France) focuses his artistic practice on adolescence, combat sports and travel to the boondocks. Through various media, he explores the political, sensitive and artistic issues at stake. Réda Boussella’s work is pop, colorful, serious and low-key, and he strives to make ensembles communicate by blurring hierarchies.
A 2019 graduate of EESAB in Quimper, he will be giving his first solo show, “Cœur Braisé”, as part of his residency at Passerelle Centre d’art contemporain in Brest in 2021. The same year, he took part in the Salon de Montrouge and the Setu performance festival. His work has been shown in several group exhibitions in the Paris region and in Brittany, notably at the FRAC Bretagne for the Prix Art Norac.

Whether with a pen or his mobile phone, Kamil Bouzoubaa-Grivel draws lines.
He is interested in the different forms of handwriting and vectorial writing which he uses both as a sign and as an autonomous plastic object.
In back and forth movements between digital and analogical and through sets of formats (extension, reduction, zoom, …), he blurs the tracks on the nature of these lines that slip and slide from 2D to 3D.
Governed by their own internal logics, its pieces interact with each other through a system of ricochets. They offer a narrative, their own.
