Artists in residence

Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Élle de Bernardini (Itaqui, 1991) lives and works in Rio de Janeiro.

She is trained in classical ballet by the Royal Academy of Dance of London. She is a transsexual woman. Her production is permeated by her biography. Her work is for the interest the intersection of gender, sexuality, politics and identity with the history of humanity and art. Her work has been exhibited in national institutions such as, Museu de Arte de São Paulo/MASP, Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, Museu de Arte do Rio/MAR, Museu Nacional da República, Memorial da America Latina, MAC-RS, Pivô Arte e Pesquisa, Centro Cultural São Paulo. Participated in the 12th Mercosul Biennial.

His works integrate important collections such as, MAC-Niterói, Rio de Janeiro. Coleção Santander Brasil, São Paulo. Museu de Arte do Rio, Rio de Janeiro. Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio, Rio de Janeiro. Fundação de Artes Marcos Amaro, Itu e Museu Nacional da República, Brasília. Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo. French government collection, National Library of France, Paris.
