Artists in residence

Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Visual arts

Born in Paris in 1993, Isabella is French and Canadian. A graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Paris and the Fresnoy-Studio National des Arts Contemporains, she has exhibited her work at the Musée La Piscine, the Musée Nicéphore-Niépce and the LAM-musée Art Brut. More recently, she took part in Nuit Blanche 2023 on the theme of “La Seine”.

She is fascinated by abyssal mysteries, akin to the psychic depths of the original unconscious. Through photography, installation and watercolor, she explores the enigmatic and elusive aspect of dark waters.

With her creations imbued with fluidity and dark romanticism, she resurrects subjects that tend to disappear, infusing them with evocative and emotional power.
