Artists in residence
Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Visual arts
Sherman Lam graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), where he obtained his BA (Architectural Studies). He interprets his reflections through photography and architecture and explores the relationship between nature, living space and humans. He is the founder of Team Tombolo, an experimental community building project launched in 2018 that aims to strengthen ties between indigenous populations in rural areas and others. To this end, he designs modular installations and public pavilions that question space, rural community, landscape and local culture.
