Artists in residence

Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Theater

Marwa MANAI is an award-winning Tunisian theatre-maker, playwright, performer, and tenured associate professor of English. A graduate of the Tunisian National Theatre Acting School and Chevening scholar, she earned an MA in Theatre-Making from the University of York. Her productions include The Name of the Father, Untitled, Ancra-je, and In the Belly of the Whale. She has taken part in international programs such as ETC, Les Francophonies, ATT Berlin, and Transmission Impossible. Her work has been produced by the Tunisian National Theatre, and the Croatian National Theatre, and toured across Europe and the Arab world.
