Artists in residence
Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Music
Joseph Sarenhes is a multidisciplinary Quebec artist of Guinean and Indigenous (Wendat Nation) heritage. Blending hip-hop, R&B, music production, live performance, and public speaking, he creates a distinctive artistic universe where Afro-Indigenous influences meet contemporary sounds. Named Radio-Canada’s Musical Revelation of the Year (2023–2024) and recipient of the City of Montreal’s Black History Month distinction, he has shared the stage with the Black Eyed Peas, Rick Ross, etc, while composing for the NBA, the Grand Théâtre de Québec, the 5th Avenue Theatre, and Télé-Québec. On stage or in the studio, he bridges cultural heritage, artistic innovation, and creative excellence.
