The Cité internationale des arts launches its new website → www.citeinternationaledesarts.fr

The Cité internationale des arts, the world’s largest artist residency, has launched its new website, reflecting what the institution has become and the profound changes it has undergone in recent years.

Paris des vi(ll)es | Public Intimacies

The Cité internationale des arts and Scénos Urbaines present Paris des Vi(ll)es | Public Intimacies, an in situ artist residency between August and October 2025. The Scénos Urbaines have a long-standing collaboration with the Cité internationale des arts, notably through events conceived with art historian and curator Dominique Malaquais (Les Utopies performatives, 2021; Entrelacs, 2022, etc.). accompanied by an exhibition (from 8 October 2025 to 24 January 2026) and a series of events at the Cité and in the urban space on 8, 9 and 10 October. This project is part of the programme designed to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Cité internationale des arts in 2025.

Le Louvre x Cité internationale des arts

The Louvre Museum and the Cité internationale des arts are joining forces for an experimental project in autumn 2025. This initiative explores the relationship between heritage and contemporary creation, between works and artistic research, between the permanence and ephemerality of practices, highlighting the role of presence in the institution and in the art world — offering a space to those who were absent, while focusing on the particular form of presence specific to a work.

In 2025, the Cité Internationale des arts will celebrate its 60th anniversary, marking six decades of commitment to artistic creation.

How will the fundamental values of the Cité internationale des arts – hospitality, conviviality, intergenerational dialogue and the creation of safe spaces – evolve over the next 60 years? The exhibition 60 Years From Now: Relaying and its programme of related events pose this question to artists of all generations, from various continents, who have been in residence at the Cité internationale des arts between 1965 and today.
