The Cité internationale des arts is pleased to announce the appointment, on April 1st, 2026, of Federica Chiocchetti as Arts and Culture Programme Manager at the Cité internationale des arts. She succeeds Nataša Petrešin-Bachelez, who held this position from January 2021 to January 2026.
The Cité internationale des arts, the world's largest artist residency, has launched its new website, reflecting what the institution has become and the profound changes it has undergone in recent years.

The entire team at the Cité internationale des arts was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Frédéric Nauczyciel, a French artist whose collaborative work – spanning performance, photography, and film – developed in France and the United States.

The Cité internationale des arts and Urban Scénos present Paris des Vi(ll)es | Public Intimacies, an on-site artist residency running from August to October 2025, les Scénos Urbaines has a long-standing collaboration with the Cité internationale des arts, notably through events conceived with art historian and curator Dominique Malaquais (Les Utopies performatives, 2021; Entrelacs, 2022, etc.). accompanied by an exhibition (from 8 October 2025 to 24 January 2026) and a series of events at the Cité and in the urban space on 8, 9 and 10 October. This project forms part of the programme designed to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Cité internationale des arts in 2025.

The Louvre Museum and the Cité internationale des arts are joining forces for an experimental project in autumn 2025. This initiative explores the relationship between heritage and contemporary creation, between artworks and artistic research, and between the permanence and transience of artistic practices, highlighting the role of presence within the institution and in the art world — by offering a space to those who were absent, whilst also examining the specific form of presence inherent to a work of art.

How will the core values of the Cité internationale des arts – hospitality, conviviality, intergenerational dialogue and the creation of safe spaces – evolve over the next 60 years? The exhibition ‘In 60 Years’ Time: Passing the Torch’ and its programme of associated events pose this question to artists of all generations, from across the continents, who have been in residence at the Cité internationale des arts between 1965 and the present day.
