Art Explora x Cité internationale des arts

With our partner Art Explora

Presentation

The Art Explora Foundation and the Cité internationale des arts have partnered to construct a unique residency programme for French and international artists and researchers.

The programme invites candidates to propose a project that questions contemporary issues, including new technologies, the links between art and science, and environmental and social issues.

Two formats are proposed and are open to artists and researchers of all nationalities, without an age limit. Eligible artists should be able to demonstrate a minimum of five years of professional activity.

• SOLO Programme: for artists only, for 3 to 6 months’ residencies.

• Collective Programme: for collectives, researchers, and curators for a 3-month residency

The residency

Every resident will benefit from:

• A residency of 3 to 6 months (SOLO programme) or 3 months (collective programme) at the Cité internationale des arts, Montmartre site, in Paris
• A live-in studio of about 50m2, equipped and furnished (for the collective programme, it will be shared by a maximum of two artists)
• A living allowance of 1000 euros per month
• A production grant of up to 3,000 euros, delivered upon proof and according to the specificities of the project
• A round trip to Paris

For the collective programme, only the artist will be able to be accommodated in the housing workshop and benefit from the living grant. The workspace may be shared with the researcher. The production grant will be paid to the artist and dedicated to the production of the project.
