Artists in residence

Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Curating

Anthony Ogochukwu Agbapuonwu is a curator, writer, and strategy consultant. He is the founder of Art Bridge Project, a community-based visual arts organization operating at the intersection of artistic exchange, creative knowledge production, and curated projects. The organization’s mission is to educate artists and expand the breadth of their practices.

Through his curatorial endeavors, he explores experiential and material poetics, offering commentary on social, cultural, and political histories as a means of amplifying the transformative power of art. He is committed to championing artists who work with frontier techniques and new media.

For over a decade, Tony has been deeply immersed in the Nigerian cultural landscape, collaborating with global art institutions such as ART X Lagos and Art Twenty One to deliver art fairs, exhibitions, workshops, live music sessions, and dynamic creative projects.

He currently serves as the Residency and Onsite Program Manager at Kòbọmọjẹ́ Artist Residency in Ibadan, a role that aligns with his passion for advancing diverse artistic practices and strengthening locally led cultural ecosystems in Nigeria.
