Artists in residence
Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Isam Elias

Music
Isam Elias is a Palestinian pianist, composer, vocalist and a songwriter. Born in 1991 in Nazareth, he was very early affected by traditional Arabic music and started playing piano at 6.
He co-founded the Ghazall Band, as a piano and keyboard player, a vocalist, and a songwriter. Their first album A Tareeq, was released in 2017.
The same year, Isam Elias graduated from the Rimon School of Jazz & Contemporary Music, majoring in piano performance and music production.
He also co-founded Zenobia, an electric duo combining Arabic pop melodies, Palestinian/Syrian dabkeh rhythms, synths, and powerful beats with occasional dub hints. They released their first album Halak Halak in 2019 under Crammed Discs Records.
