Artists in residence
Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Myriam Resch (*1973 Karlsruhe, Germany) is a painter based in Düsseldorf. She studied at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf from 1992 to 2000. In 2002, she received the Emerging Artist Award from the City of Düsseldorf. From 2004 to 2007, she organised ortstermin, an exhibition project in vacant shops. Between 2013 and 2014, she taught painting at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Her works are held in the collections of Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, Stadtmuseum Düsseldorf and private collections. She participates in solo and group exhibitions in Germany. Her paintings explore how architectural structures can be reduced to fragments and how subtle shifts in perspective and light can transform the perception of a space.
