The programme
For over 30 years, the Central Academy of Fine Arts x Cité internationale des arts programme has enabled more than a hundred Chinese artists to conduct research and develop their practices in the heart of Paris. It is open to faculty members from all disciplines, including painting, design, art history, art management and other related fields. Four 3-month residencies are awarded each year.

The Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing is made up of 14 specialised schools and departments and offers over 6,000 students, including 200 foreign students, a variety of programmes ranging from secondary education to doctorates, as well as visiting scholar programmes. The academy aims to be a leading institution where disciplines such as visual arts, design, architecture and the humanities support and influence each other.
