Jadwal

Programme for visual artists, filmmakers, and performers based in Tunisia

The programme

NESSIJ, an association dedicated to supporting the Tunisian art scene, and the Cité internationale des arts have structured a research and creation residency programme for visual artists, screenwriters/directors, and performing artists who work and live in Tunisia.

This programme aims to encourage and facilitate the mobility of Tunisian-based artists and to expand their professional and artistic networks. The partners are committed to supporting each laureate’s project by providing privileged mentorship, networking opportunities, and a fully-funded three-month residency in Paris.

The partner of this programme :

Nessij

Nessij, which means “web” in Arabic, is a collective founded in 2023 by a group of artists and art workers from Tunisia who aim to support and promote the Tunisian artistic and cultural scene internationally.

In a context of artistic and creative effervescence in the country, and while border policies exacerbate the isolation of the scene and its actors, Nessij aims to facilitate the movement of artists, their works, and cultural workers from Tunisia, as well as to strengthen exchanges and solidarities between different artistic scenes, particularly across the Global South.
