Every year, the Schloss Balmoral x Cité internationale des arts programme enables 2 artists from Germany to be welcomed into the Cité’s community of over 300 artists.

Artist Residency Schloss Balmoral
The Artist Residency Schloss Balmoral supports visual artists from all over the world and of all generations in the form of annually awarded fellowships. In addition, the programme offers two fellowships for curators and one for educators, as well as the ‘Neustart’ (New Start) scholarships awarded to graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts Mainz. Balmoral facilitates and supports interfaces between artistic work and theoretical discourse.
