The programme
Every year, 8 to 16 artists (alumni, doctoral students, etc) from Tsinghua University are selected to take part in the Academy of Arts and Design x Cité internationale des arts residency programme. The programme is open to all disciplines taught at the Academy.

The Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, formerly known as the Central Academy of Arts & Design, was established in 1956 as the first higher education institute of arts and design in China. The academy has a long history and is now made up of 10 departments covering 20 disciplines, including textile design, fashion, ceramics, painting, sculpture and design.
