The programme
Every year, the VdDK1844 x Cité internationale des arts programme enables 18 artists with a practice in the visual arts to take up residencies in Paris for a period of 2 months. Sculptors, painters, photographers and video artists who are members of VdDK1844 are eligible.

The partner of this programme :
VdDK1844 is a Düsseldorf-based artists’ association founded on the principles of “mutual aid and support”. Solidarity, cooperation and DIY are at the heart of VdDK1844’s operations and the interactions between its 295 artist members. As one of the oldest artists’ associations in Germany, the VdDK is heir to a rich tradition whose effects on Düsseldorf’s urban society are visible and profound.
