Artists in residence
Each year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes more than 1,000 artists from around the world, offering them a space for creation, research, and exchange in Paris, in the Marais and Montmartre districts. Open to all artistic disciplines—visual arts, music, literature, film, design and architecture, performing arts, and curating—it enables artists to develop their projects in an environment that fosters experimentation and meaningful connections.

Raouf Ziani is an architect and artist born in Annaba (Algeria) in 1973. Drawing his inspiration from his environment, nature and its subtle balances, Raouf Ziani produces a series of digital creations.
The artist recently exhibited at the l’Est Expose event at the Galerie des Arts Contemporains de l’Institut Français in Annaba and Constantine in 2022, and then took part in the monographic exhibition “Corten” presented at the Galerie des Arts de l’Institut Français in Oran in May and June 2023.
His artistic and architectural work aims to provoke reflection on the relationship between humans and the environment. Sensitive to the challenges of climate change and the vulnerability of our ecosystem, he aspires to create projects where the link between architecture, art and people is harmonious and impactful.
